Steps Challenge Winners: Keep on Stepping!

Congratulations to the 602 employees and providers who participated in our New Year’s Steps Challenge!  Collectively, our 69 teams walked almost 4 times around the Earth, logging a total of 190,047,713 steps.

We hope this challenge has inspired you to develop habits to keep you active throughout the day, and that you continue to stay physically active with your teams.

Here’s what some colleagues shared about the challenge:

“Thank you for this wonderful group wellness activity we were able to participate in! I thought it was a fun and inclusive way to bring staff and doctors together as a team, outside of the usual patient care teams.  We had fun and learned how competitive we all are! I have a new/renewed admiration for the strong women on our team.” – Dr. Laura Saldivar (Team MMC Peds)

“Everyone at the CCMG/Walnut Creek clinic loved this idea. It pushed us to be aware of our daily exercise as we did not want to let our team down. It made us act as a team! Thank you so much!” – Mag Sohal (Team CCMG-Walnut Creek)

“I have noticed more engaged staff spending time on breaks and lunches having competitive, fit fun together.” – Julie Fulton (Team BVMG -Danville)

We are pleased to announce we had 16 winning teams who achieved a daily average of 7,000 steps per day or greater.

Congratulations to our top three winning teams who achieved an exceptionally high team average step count of more than 11,000 steps per day!
