Stanford Echocardiography and Vascular Imaging Center (SEVIC) Celebrates Grand Opening

Staff and visitors celebrated the Stanford Echocardiography and Vascular Imaging Center (SEVIC) grand opening on Monday, August 27.

The new space features better designed procedure rooms that enhance the patient experience and provide more efficient workflows for both staff and patients. It was built around a patient centric concept where a patient has a single check-in and both echocardiography and vascular ultrasounds can be done in a single, dedicated hybrid room with all equipment available for both modalities. Patients can receive a number of services including stress echocardiography and cardiopulmonary stress tests among others.

The new center staffs around 60 employees including echo-sonographers, RNs, ultrasound technicians and others. On the opening day the center saw 86 patients including six vascular inpatients. The new center is located in the Main Hospital (300P) on the third floor.
