September is the American Medical Association’s Women in Medicine (WIM) Month which showcases the accomplishments of physicians and highlights advocacy related to women physicians and health issues impacting women patients. The theme this year is “Women in Medicine: Advancing Equity, Creating Change.”
This year, we are looking to highlight UHA clinicians that inspire their peers professional and help to advance the careers of female clinicians.
Please share your inspirational stories about women physicians and clinicians to highlight their leadership and mentorship while helping advance the careers of other women and equity in patient care.
Each Thursday in September, we’ll feature these women clinicians from across UHA as well as articles and resources for expanding gender equity in medicine. Be sure to read our “Keeping Up with UHA” e-newsletter each week as we highlight this inspirational information.
