On March 16-18, University Medical Partners hosted the first Stanford Community Medicine Weekend Retreat at the beautiful Seascape Beach Resort in Aptos, California. Providers from University Medical Partners, University Medical Group, and Cardiovascular Consultants Medical Group engaged in stimulating discussions with Stanford Health Care and University HealthCare Alliance leadership and School of Medicine faculty on artificial intelligence, population health, and Stanford Medicine’s Integrated Strategic Plan.
Dr. Lloyd Minor, Dean of the Stanford School of Medicine and one of the retreat’s distinguished guest speakers, emphasized the importance of our community clinics’ role in empowering patients and achieving Stanford’s vision for “precision health.” Retreat participants also bonded over team-building activities – including rhythmic drumming, communication workshops, and a festive St. Patrick’s Day-themed dinner, where we recognized and celebrated our providers’ dedication to their patients. Thank you to all who attended the retreat – we hope you enjoyed the event!
