Take advantage of the free mindfulness and meditation resources that are available through Stanford’s Health Library. Listeners can choose a 5-minute meditation or longer ones in English and Spanish. Titles include guided imagery for sleep, caregiver stress, pain management, anxiety and panic, help with radiation therapy and chemo, and more.
Guided imagery is a form of meditation that uses the mind to focus on positive images and thoughts, changing thinking patterns in order to promote well-being and relaxation. Through guided imagery and affirmations, you can use your own mind as a complement to traditional medicine. It is a simple yet helpful tool for you to practice at your convenience.
