Join Us: Mastering Tough Conversations Courses in the San Francisco Bay Area

Dear Colleagues,

We are thrilled to announce two VitalTalk Mastering Tough Conversations courses in the San Francisco Bay Area in May 2018.  Please share with colleagues who may be interested.

May 8 in Oakland
May 11 in Palo Alto

Register for the Course HERE

Both courses teach communication about prognosis and goals of care through intensive small group work with simulated patients, facilitated by local VitalTalk faculty. Cases are drawn from a range of diagnoses and settings. Practicing clinicians and from all specialties and disciplines who care for seriously ill patients are encouraged to attend, as are residents and fellows.

VitalTalk is a nonprofit organization that specializes in developing and facilitating advanced communication skills courses to promote honest and compassionate communication about serious illness. Read more at: VitalTalk.org.

The Bay Area Regional Hub offers local independent and institutional courses and supports local VitalTalk faculty. Next year in the Bay Area, we plan to offer a Faculty Development course, which trains clinicians who have completed a Mastering Tough Conversations course to teach serious illness communication. Please see our list of current faculty below.

Hope to see you in May!
