Heart Walk 2019

Join Team Stanford on Saturday, October 5th for Heart Walk 2019!

We are pleased to announce that University HealthCare Alliance (UHA) is participating in the American Heart Association’s (AHA’s) Heart Walk again this fall. Heart Walk is part of the AHA’s Healthy for Good Movement, which inspires companies and employees to create lasting changes to their health.

Last year, we had over 100 registered UHA walkers and raised $4,400, in addition to a $10,000 corporate donation. This year, Stanford Health Care has donated $10,000 in support of Heart Walk.

Our Heart Walk goal is to have 150 registered walkers from our organization walk to support lifesaving heart disease research, education, prevention, and treatment.

Will you consider joining the Heart Walk as a coach and registering a team? Below is a list of coach roles and responsibilities.

Coach roles and responsibilities:

  • Meet with our AHA staff partner in July to set walker recruitment goals for your team.
  • From now until October, send recruitment messages and event updates to your team (templates will be provided by AHA).
  • Share the Healthy for Good messages that will be published in Keeping Up with UHA.
  • Attend the Danville Heart Walk on Saturday, October 5th, at the Danville Livery & Mercantile.

We are excited about what we can accomplish by joining with the AHA to improve our community’s heart health and look forward to walking with you!
