Stanford Pride: Walk With Us In The SF Pride Parade on June 30

There will be a “Stanford University Pride” contingent in the June 30 San Francisco Pride Parade on Market Street. Our LGBTQA+ friends at the Stanford School of Medicine got the ball rolling, and we at Stanford Health Care have been invited to join them. The “LGBTMeds” have already registered 170 participants, and it’s now up to us to get on the bandwagon (no float, sorry…).

This year’s Pride parades all over the country (and the world) also mark the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots in New York City — a important reminder of the our community’s uprising and of the birth of the Gay Pride movement.

When – Sunday, June 30, assembling before 10:30 am, finishing in the afternoon, celebration until 6 pm.

Where – Assembly point near the Embarcadero, details communicated to those who RSVP. The parade goes up Market to Civic Center Plaza.

RSVP – We need to supply a reasonably accurate count of marchers. Please register here. All marchers are required to watch a short safety training video before the event. Details will be provided to those who RSVP.
