Dear Colleagues,

You may have seen an email from the Medical Board of California regarding a new California Department of Public Health sponsored California Parkinson’s Disease Registry.  As stated in Health and Safety Code Section 103870, health care providers diagnosing or providing treatment to Parkinson’s disease patients (as defined by a limited set of diagnosis codes) are now required to report each case to the registry. 

In an effort to promote efficiency in our clinics, Stanford Health Care has registered with the state and has provided through a secure electronic interface, data on Parkinson’s patients seen at SHC, UHA and Stanford ValleyCare on your behalf.  No individual action is required by you.  If you have any questions, please reach out to Dr. Matthew Eisenberg or Dr. Laurice Yang.
